Christine Vaindirlis [ BIOGRAPHY ]





Christine Vaindirlis was born in London, grew up mainly in South Africa and then moved to Italy to pursue her life dream in music. She commenced her studies at the Conservatory of Milan “G.Verdi”, Italy whereafter she was awarded a full scholarship by the Conservatorio di Milano Nuova Musica for Opera Studies. In 2001 she was endowed The Berklee College of Music Achievement Scholarship by the prestigious institution of Boston MA, after auditioning in Greece on the World Scholarship Tour. This was followed by the Solo and Ensemble Award for Outstanding Musicianship in 2003. In 2004, she graduated with Honors with a dual B.M. Cum Laude, in Contemporary Writing & Production and Performance as a Voice principal.

Christine has been involved in the many facets of the music industry. She has written and overseen recordings, from jingles and studio orchestra, working with a large array of vocalists and musicians. Her greatest success however, was the production of "SHIKISHA!", a performance promoting the Music of South Africa with a dynamic and entertaining twenty-three piece band. In addition, she has also worked on several occasions in live and studio settings as a lead and background vocalist over diverse stylistic approaches from Funk, Pop, R&B, Jazz/Fusion to Folk.

Christine is currently working on her solo album to be released later on this year, while concurrently continuing to promote “SHIKISHA!”
